Yes. MessageByPlate facilitates messaging any vehicles owners by license plate.
Note: Messages will NOT be delivered if the vehicle owner has set their account to receive messages from MessageByPlate certified parking locations only.

MessageByPlate™ maintains a zero tolerance for messaging abuse including profanity, misrepresentation or use of threatening language.
First time offenders will be sent a warning by an MBP system admin.
Second time offenders will be suspended from service for 2 weeks with notification.
Third time offenders will be declined service indefinitely.
Users messaging accounts containing, alluding to, or suspected of criminal intent will be reported to the authorities.
No. MessageByPlate operates on a proprietary platform enabling the messaging of license plates via the utilization of displayed characters as unique identifiers independent of DMV records & databases. MessageByPlate adheres to all FCC commercial text (sms) message rules and regulations.
How do I stop receiving messages from unknown individuals?
You can opt to receive messages from MessageByPlate Certified Parking locations only. In your account settings, select the “Certified Locations Only” option under the Message Preferences tab.
Does MessageByPlate track my vehicles location?
No. By design, MessageByPlate does not the technical capability to track any vehicles location.

How long does it take to implement MBP for large fleets?
Fleet Vehicle Registration: New accounts may enter each vehicles license plate manually or send client services an excel (CSV) sheet containing each vehicles license plate for system import.
New fleet vehicles may be added at any time.
Retired fleet vehicles are easily deleted from service.
Platform Implementation: New accounts are set up and ready for service within one business day of request.
Platform Training: It takes approximately 30 minutes to train a fleet operations system admin via a dedicated training session.
Standard (non-client branded) decals are delivered within 3-4 days of service approval.
Custom (client branded) decals are delivered within 5-6 days of design approval.

What are MBP decals?
MBP (MessageByPlate) decals are industrial grade vinyl stickers to be displayed on the rear of each fleet vehicle. The decal makes each vehicle easily identifiable as available for messaging.
Fleet/Company name branded MBP decals are available upon request. Please ask your client services representative for details.
Can our drivers respond directly to messages received?
By default, MessageByPlate provides fleet operators with centralized messaging. (i.e. all new message notifications are sent to the companies assigned MessageByPlate operator). Operators are tasked to reply to the sender on behalf of each driver.
Note: Fleet vehicle driver direct messaging/reply capabilities are available upon request.
